The 2021 Virtual Artist Residency Program is initiated by the RMIT Curatorial Collective to support RMIT's current students and international artists whose practices have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Why is artistic creation important? How do RMIT students produce art and creativity in challenging and isolated situations?
The program is separated into two rounds, each led by a professional practitioner.
Students are selected through open recruitment to join, from January to February 2021, and March to April. What we offer
• A combined materials and activation contribution of up to $300
• One on one mentorship
• Public programming assistance
• Promotion via RMIT Curatorial Collective website and social media channels
